Ingredients
28 ounces canned tomatoes
8 ounces canned green chiles
2 bunches green onions, ends removed and roughly chopped
1/2 cup cilantro leaves, washed
1-1 1/2 teaspoons salt (to taste, and depending on the amount of salt in the canned tomatoes)
2 teaspoons coarsely-ground black pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons lime juice (juice of 1 lime)
1-2 jalapeno peppers minced
1-2 additional peppers (caribe, Anaheim, long hot)
Directions
- Pour the tomatoes and juice into the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Pulse to process to desired consistency, about five pulses.
