Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey (mix of white and dark meat; no leaner than 94% lean)

  • 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt or 3/4 teaspoon table salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup finely minced parsley

  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced or microplaned

  • 1/2 small red onion, finely minced

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • For cooking: 4 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients together by hand.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large frying pan.
  • Make patties by scooping 1/2 cup ground meat mixture and forming into a patty.
  • Fry patties in batches until brown on one side, about 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook until 165 degrees Fahrenheit, about 4-5 more minutes.
  • Repeat until all of the patties are finished. Makes 10 patties.
