Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 2 6″ pita rounds

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) light olive oil

  • salt, to taste

  • other spices, such as garlic powder, za’atar, sesame seeds, to taste

Directions

  • If using regular oven, preheat oven to 400ยบ F.
  • Cut pita into triangles. Toss with olive oil and seasonings/spices.
  • Spread pita triangles in a single layer on a baking sheet. If using regular oven, bake minutes then gently toss chips and bake 2-3 minutes longer, until no moisture remains and chips are starting to turn golden brown. If using toaster oven, toast for 4 minutes, then gently toss chips and toast for 1-2 minutes longer, until no moisture remains and chips are starting to turn golden brown.
  • Serve with fresh vegetables and/or hummus.
