Ingredients
2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
1 cup (240 ml) water
1 cup (240 ml) fresh-squeezed lime juice
6 cups (1440 ml) water
Crushed ice
Directions
- Make a simple syrup from the sugar and 1 cup of water: dissolve the sugar in the water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Make sure to dissolve all of the sugar, because even a grain of sugar can cause the sugar to seed and the solution will become a solid. Allow to cool gradually to room temperature
- Mix the fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and 6 remaining cups of water until combined.
- Serve over ice.
