Sweet and Sour Fish Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) water

  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

  • 1 cup (240 ml) distilled vinegar

  • 1 cup (240 ml) fish sauce

  • Sliced garlic cloves

  • Sliced red Thai/arbol peppers

Directions

  • Place the water, sugar, and vinegar in a medium saucepan. Heat on high until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • When the solution is cool, mix in the fish sauce. This will keep indefinitely in the refrigerator
  • To serve, add sliced garlic and sliced Thai/arbol peppers.
